“Realized Eschatology” Also called A.D. 70 Doctrine

Realized Eschatology “Eschatology” – “a part of theology concerned with the final events of history, or the ultimate destiny of humanity” “Realized” – “successfully completed or brought to an end” – Called A.D. 70 doctrine because they say all Bible prophecies fulfilled in 70 A.D.

What is the A.D. 70 Doctrine? Teaches that ALL Bible prophecy has been fulfilled – The 2 nd coming of Christ – The resurrection of the dead – The day of judgment – The end of the world All these things fulfilled in 70 A.D.

What is the A.D. 70 Doctrine? Teaches that the “last days” were from 30 A.D. to 70 A.D. Say all 2 nd coming passages refer to a spiritual (invisible) coming in 70 A.D. Say resurrection refers to resurrection of church from persecution of Jews The “eternal days” began in 70 A.D. We are now living in the “eternal days”

What Must I Do To Be Saved? Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17) Believe Jesus is Christ (Acts 8:37) Repent of your sins (Acts 17:30) Confess your faith (Matthew 10:32) Baptized for remission of sins (Acts 2:38) Faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10)
