67  Spec Book – 107.20(4)  The engineer may limit the area of erosive land that the contractor may expose to the elements…  Spec Book – 107.20(6)  The engineer has full authority to suspend or limit grading and other operations pending adequate performance of permanent erosion control members such as finish grading, topsoiling, mulching, matting, and seeding, and all temporary erosion control measures…

68  Spec Book – 109.6.1(1)  The department may suspend progress payments if the contractor does not comply with the engineer’s directions as the contract specifies

70  Corrective action is needed and an erosion control order was not sent to the prime contractor  BMP’s are inadequate but have been approved by the project engineer

71  Corrective action is needed and an erosion control order has been issued, but the work has not been completed  The prime contractor was not in compliance with the contract documents and failure to comply was a significant factor  Project is behind schedule and the contractor has not submitted a revised schedule, if requested by the project engineer

72  Document & Take Pictures  Write up an Erosion Control Order to get EC up and working again  Contact PM & Kevin Garrigan  Try to quantify release, discuss cleanup options.  Notify DNR & Corp of Engineers – Include layout of where release is, pictures, quantity and possible clean- up options.  Use Release Tracking Spreadsheet in Pantry to track.
