Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE A multidisciplinary group of over 40 organizations committed to developing policy recommendations to address Colorado’s growing health care workforce shortages.

Vision and Mission W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE Vision: Colorado will have the highly- qualified, diverse health care workforce it needs so that all Coloradans have access to the high quality care they need. Mission: The Colorado Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative will study, develop, and advocate for data- driven public policy to ensure that the state has the health professionals it needs.

Membership and Participation W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE Workforce Collaborative MEMBER: Willing to be a champion for vision & mission Attend all or most meetings Commit to gather input and garner support for the Collaborative’s work Commit to reach consensus based recommendations

History W ORKFORCE P OLICY C OLLABORATVIE The Colorado Trust’s Health Professions Initiative Three years (2005 – 2008) $10.2 million to 22 organizations To increase the number of health professionals across Colorado Evaluation results suggest more focused attention must be directed toward ensuring that delivery sites across the state are adequately staffed in all professional categories
