3. What you will have to do for this project… With your assigned group, you will be creating a culture that existed somewhere in the past in the world. You will split up the culture aspects between the different members of your group. Each student will be responsible for 2 artifacts, one written and one 3-D that explains their assigned aspect of the culture. We will follow the DIG Schedule exactly in order to make sure that we are able to complete everything in an orderly matter of time.

4. A couple of ground rules… You need to create an alphabet for your culture. Your culture has to be set in the past. No cannibals! (It has been done to death! Get it…) This culture should be totally original. The artifacts will give clues without giving out obviously answers. They need to be human, they can’t be alien or an animal race. (Needs to be believable) They need to have actually have been able to exist. (Examples: They can’t be fairies.)

5. Examples: We represent the people of the “Land Down Under.” This is a nickname for Australia. Geography- Last year a group had their culture located in the Amazon Rainforest and they worshipped a “Black Caiman.” They are only located in South America in the Amazon Rainforest.
