17. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works The course catalog and application are mailed to the prospective student. The enrollment application is completed and submitted via email, mail, fax or online. HSPS catalog and enrollment is online only. The Hadley School for the Blind

18. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works Student Services staff reviews the enrollment application. If complete, Adult Continuing Education and High School applicants are enrolled in the Entrance Assignment. Family and Professional applicants are immediately enrolled. 19. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works After successfully completing the Entrance Assignment, the new student is enrolled in the course he/she selected. The Hadley School for the Blind

20. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works Hadley then mails the course in the student’s preferred medium. A welcome letter and contact information from the instructor is included. Students enrolled in online courses receive instructions via email. The Hadley School for the Blind

21. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works The student completes a lesson from the course and sends the assignment to the instructor who promptly grades and returns it with feedback. Assignments can be mailed, faxed or emailed. The Hadley School for the Blind

22. Hadley Distance Education: How It Works After a student demonstrates the ability to submit an assignment, an instructor may approve sending multiple assignments. A student may enroll in a second course. Student Services will explain these guidelines to the student. The Hadley School for the Blind
