Antonio Saura was born in Huesca in 1930 on September 22. He was a painter and writer. He has been considered one of the greatest artist of the twentieth century.

Antonio Saura died… Antonio Saura died in Cuenca on July 22, 1998. Antonio Saura painted a mosaic found in Gran Casa in Zaragoza (Spain). This mosaic are very famous.

He painted the This picture is one of the most famous, as it appears on the front door of “Gran Casa”, a shopping center of Zaragoza. Small characters, curious and monstrous, welcome visitors the Shopping Center. Figures colorful light and amaze the few who look at the ceiling to enter. We don’t know what he wanted to reflect on the moment if they represent, also logo Gran Casa Shopping.

Imaginary Portraits: In the series of imaginary Portraits, Saura reduces the figures to elementary schemes and then he recompose them. For example, the imaginary portrait of Brigitte Bardot is an unrealistic portrait invented. What is important here is not the resemblance to the model, but the mental picture we have of the character.
