2. Dress For Success Research shows that school uniforms:
Improve student learning
Improve discipline
Promote school safety
Ellis Middle School wants students to focus on academics and achievement while in school
The school dress code is described in the following slides

3. Short Sleeve Tops Shirts MUST have a collar
Button down
Polo shirts
Shirts MUST have a collar
Colors include white, red or navy

4. Long Sleeve Tops Shirts MUST have a collar
Button Down
Polo
Turtleneck
Shirts MUST have a collar
Colors include white, red or navy

5. Sweaters Sweater MUST have a collar underneath
Cardigan
Crew
V-Neck
Sweater MUST have a collar underneath
Colors include white, red or navy

6. Layering Tops Shirt MUST have collar
Undershirt MUST be white, red or navy
Undershirt cannot be longer than top shirt

7. Shirt Size Shirts need to be the correct size
If shirts are too large or too long, you will be asked to tuck them in.
If shirts are too small or too short, you will be asked to change.

8. Bottoms Shorts Skirts Slacks Jumpers
Only during 1st & 4th Quarter

9. Pant Size Pants must be fitted at the waist
Pants may be no more than one size too big or too small
Pants must be hemmed at least one inch off the ground.

12. Shoes Flip-flops and slippers are not allowed
Shoes and laces must match

13. Headwear Bandanas, hairnets, do-rags, and hats are not allowed
Hats must be removed when entering the building

If you are not following this dress code, you may receive a minor. Remember that three minors become a major.
You will be sent to the office to change
