The driver Grid Operations Center (GOC)/Knowledge-base Center will be ready for operation in 2007. –A new building at the center of West Coast of Taiwan, with cost > $ 11M –Entirely dedicated to Grids, including R&D, applications and services. –The idea was conceived first at 1st PRAGMA. Living Grids as a target: –GOC itself as a smart building, with HPC facilities, TWAREN backbone facilities, advanced Studio-like Grid lab, digital cinema, advanced viz facilities, smart class rooms, integrated Access Grid facilities and Control and Monitoring room for Grids. –Platforms for Grid applications will be sophisticated enough, they are tightly connected with peoples life. –The platforms will be continuously maintained and advanced in GOC. –Incubate New Applications.
