4 DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND BUILDING Promoting the wise use of land Helping build great communities New Development Water Conservation Program  New development (homes) in the PRGWB must offset new water use  280 gallons/ household/ day  Program launched April 2014  Replaces plumbing fixtures (toilets, showerheads) in existing homes to save water  New development pays for the cost of retrofits

5 DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND BUILDING Promoting the wise use of land Helping build great communities Program Status  45 Homes Retrofitted  2508 gallons of water saved per day  Approx. 10 retrofits in progress  6 New Development Projects have offset water use through the program  Total of 1137 gallon credits purchased
