2 PROGRAM OBJECTIVE Students design and conduct authentic/original research projects and write a professional level paper by their senior year. You will be reading articles to find a topic and then reading extra textbooks, online resources, and professional articles that are written by the scientists in order to become an expert on your chosen topic. APPLICATION DEADLINES APPLICATION DEADLINES 1* Submit our application to Miss Parziale or to Ms. Spicijaric – either in person or in our mailboxes in the faculty room by Friday, 1/30. 2******H-period/Extra Credits Sheet – You must list ALL of your courses that you are taking next year and get signatures for any honors classes or classes that need approval. Unfortunately, you only have until Wednesday to do this. You science teacher will sign for science research, no questions asked. *** If you can’t do it by Wednesday, see Dr. Castellano on THURSDAY, the latest. He will make an exception because of the late notice. *** Even if you are not sure about taking the course of signing up, submit this form!!! If you change your mind, you can opt not to register for it online. 3* When registering for classes online, you must sign up for Science Research. If you are taking H period, then register for 1070. If you can’t take H period, then sign up for 1490. IF YOU ARE NOT ACCEPTED, WE WILL SIMPLY REMOVE IT FROM YOUR SCHEDULE LATER.
