3.  She was born on May 18, 1957.  She’s 55 years old.

4.  She was born with a hearing loss, but Connie lost a majority of her hearing in her 20’s.

5.  She’s from the United Kingdom. Born from Jamaican immigrants.

6.  She has 10 siblings.  She has a daughter who is deaf.

7.  She wasn’t treated badly.  Recently she had a cochlear implant and now her hearing is almost fully restored.  It’s almost as if she never lost her hearing.

8.  She has had no impact. Unless you count her daughter.  In an interview she had said she had very little interaction with the deaf community.  She does consider herself deaf even though she can hear.

9.  She was arrested in 2012  She had cosmetic surgery because she perceived herself to be ugly.
