Grading Guidelines Homework: all averaged together = 1 daily grade or less than 10% of their overall grade. Homework can help or hurt If a student earns less than 70% on a major assignment, he/she will be given the opportunity to raise the grade with a cap of 70. Opportunity to improve daily work to a 70% is at the teacher’s discretion.

Parent Connect PLEASE SIGN UP Set grade triggers If you receive a trigger email, please log into parent connect and discuss with your child before you contact your teacher Check total number of grades at the time of the trigger

Classroom Economy Promotes 3 rd grade financial literacy standards (TEKS) Students apply for jobs Earn a salary, pay rent, & taxes Fines are issued for classroom violations Ie: not following directions or no homework Cash Bonus for outstanding behavior and academic achievements Auction will be held at the end of each nine weeks

Planner Planners are kept in the binder Needs to be checked and initialed daily by a parent for any new assignments or information Citations are stapled daily in planner Please do not remove Only sign and return All log in information will be recorded in planner

Tardiness Please understand that our day begins at 7:50….even though the TARDY bell doesn’t ring until 8:20. If you’re on time….you’re late. Students should be unpacked and working when the tardy bell rings
