5 Web Hosting Options 1.Drupal site using a college template 2.Stand-alone site (for special purpose needs) LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PhP) PI is responsible for all aspects of the site including branding and accessibility. IT cannot provide support beyond hosting issues. For any web site needs, contact webmaster@education.tamu.edu

6 Web Hosting Options 1.Drupal site using a college template 2.Stand-alone site (for special purpose needs) 3.Course / Module in Moodle or eCampus A blank course can be setup in Moodle (but, IT staff support for building/designing the course requires buying out time) Courses in eCampus require an agreement with ITS

7 Computer Support 1.General desktop support is provided for university owned computers computer repair re-imaging Software installation Exception: If you are purchasing large quantities of computers (e.g., 20 laptops, 25 ipads) to support the grant, the grant should include management in the budget. Our approximate support cost is $300 / computer / year.

10 Classroom/Facilities 1.Some classrooms can be reserved for grant events 2.Room 621A (room dedicated for Research use) will be revamped over coming months. 3.Classroom sets of laptops can be reserved Academic Classes get priority access for rooms and equipment. (The Registrar has the right to “bump” any non-academic group from a classroom.) 4.Other options include renting space/support from Rudder/MSC or off-campus locations.

11 Infrastructure 1.Network storage Less than 50GB or so, no cost If you expect to need more, please talk to us about options 2.Virtual servers (dedicated server for your project) Available, but requires a conversation regarding support and costs

13 Consulting Services 1.Proposal stage (discuss your plans and we can provide advice, options, costs, etc.) 2.Hiring Process (general advice up to serving on hiring committee) 3.Purchasing 4.The later in the process you talk to us, the less help we will be able to provide.

14 Communications Office 1.Support promotion of grant events/services 2.Consultation of marketing communication needs/strategies 3.Promoting programs through news articles and media channels. Services generally limited to consultation, advice and technical support for initiatives that support college-level goals.
