4 ECC: Marketing FB Build visibility by including FB link in: – Signature lines in emails particularly distribution of newsletters i.e., Linda Adams Chapter FB Page Chapter Website – On websites – Chapter and Federation letterheads

5 ECC: Marketing FB Create fresh content – Content should educate Link to the State FB page for interesting items Sign up for your Congressman and Senators FB or website for updates and “share” that info. Sign up for Federal facilities that interest you. If you are interested, others might be also. NASA has a video subscription that Chapter 409 posts regularly. “Like” FB pages of magazines that should be of interest to your audience.

6 ECC: Marketing FB Create fresh content – Content should entertain Look around for other FB pages that you find interesting to “share” their info. Might be a cooking, Pinterest, gardening page, or blogs you find interesting – Frederick News Post Social Media Blog Frederick News Post Social Media Blog – EMME Books: Reading and discussing Modern Library's 100 Best Novels of the 20th Century EMME Books – Gardening, home improvement, cooking magazines – Other entertainment media sources or of interest to you

7 ECC: Marketing FB Engage your community – Invite your “friends” to your FB – Sharing posts – Respond to comments – Tag photos – Develop a posting schedule – Be responsive and allow conversation

8 ECC: Marketing FB Suggestions – Don’t just post NARFE events, functions and news. – Pick something fun to include; people will come to your site it if is interesting. – Change your photos/cover occasionally to keep interest. – You might want to pick a theme you want to include. 9 ECC: Marketing FB “Like” my page. – The Federation website has a list of MD Federation Chapter FB pages; “like” their pages to see what other Chapters are doing. – The Federation FB page is very well-done and please “like” this page

10 ECC: Marketing FB Once you feel comfortable with the basics of FB, try using: – Social plug-ins – Live video – Forms – Pinterest – Mobile phone app and other apps
