Objectives n To develop course concepts and n technologies supporting distributed networked simulation n enabling education in ship-handling, communication and co-operation

Definition of course concepts: n Pedagogical set-up n Scenarios n Instructor tools n Replay tools n Debriefing tools

Search and Rescue (SAR) Training of On-scene-commander, search vessel navigators and shore-based command centre personel in shiphandling, communication and co-operation

Network interface n Development of generic HLA based interface to the Network n Specification and assessment of tools for integration of voice- and video- signals into the distributed simulation envirronment

Demonstration n Two geographically separated simulators (at Mariehamn and Danish Maritime Institute) will be networked and a number of training scenarios including SAR training will be demonstrated
