3. “Business & Community Engagement Programme”  In January 2008 JISC began its “Business & Community Engagement Programme” to support institutions in their strategic management of relationships with external partners and clients ‘Knowledge Transfer’  It was driven by the Government's agenda to build the knowledge economy, and in response to a growing understanding that the emerging profession of ‘Knowledge Transfer’ was fragmented and lacking in agreed frameworks for skills assessments and standards
