Conditions for Accreditation of Master's Degree Study Programme the supervisor of the programme must have current publications of high quality related to the programme field in Master study programme, there must be at least 60% of teachers Assoc. professors or Professors in the Czech rep. these academic titles are subject of the long process of habilitation procedure compact, coherent and logical content leading to the fulfilment of graduate knowledge portfolio

Conditions for Accreditation of Master's Degree Study Programme study programme must contain an adequate range of "standard" subjects – e.g. for economic field in terms of economy theory, mathematics and statistics erudition of all academic staff included in study programme no special regulation for development of Joint Degrees exists in the Czech Republic

Accreditation Process the Accreditation Commission meets only three times a year accreditation material must be submitted three months before the meeting the accreditation material must be in Czech as well as English language it must contain summary of publishing activities and quotes from all academic staff involved in the programme

Internal Process of Accreditation the Faculty prepares the full accreditation material the accreditation material is approved by Academic Senate and Scientific Council after the approval, the material is evaluated by Internal Accreditation Committee of University it is necessary to incorporate all comments – a brief profile of the graduate, clear aims of the programme

External Process of Accreditation the Accreditation Commission assesses the formal aspects at first after that two reviews by renowned experts are carried out on the basis of them the accreditation is discussed in the Economic Committee if Economic Committee recommends approval then Accreditation Commission accredits the study programme the accreditation is usually granted for four years the content (courses) should not be changed more than 20%

Challenges we Faced with internal: different conception of the programme – missing micro/macroeconomics and mathematics participation of the appropriate academic staff with good level of English that are also experts in the field which fits to the programme external: comments from Accreditation Commission regarding detailed explanations of the structure and organisation of study at two universities time management – rare meetings of commitees
