Academic Integrity Policy Discussions Examine one week’s worth of main posts. – Submit and examine any individual posts throughout the course that look concerning Applications: Examine a sampling of originality reports based on course length Especially concerning reports should be included in your random sample Doc Studies: Google or Dogpile can help too 4

Evaluating an Originality Report References, quotes and 1% matches should already be excluded What’s left? – Common phrases – Content that has been borrowed and not paraphrased/synthesized Matches to previously submitted papers – From Laureate/Walden – From another university 6

Academic Integrity Inquiry Process Understand your program’s expectations around teachable moments and internal warnings Once you need to make something formal, send an academic integrity inquiry letter – Email Subject: Academic Integrity Inquiry – Copy your Program Director or their academic integrity designee – Do not copy Code of Conduct (COC) Your PD/designee will work with you to decide sanctions and will send a formal Findings letter. You and COC will be copied 7
