GLLOA 3 End of Period Assuming there are no dead ball fouls between periods: if the next period will start even, you have a faceoff if the next period will start with a team up you might not have a faceoff. GLLOA 4 Rule 4-3-1 Faceoff after each period and after each goal EXCEPT: If a period ends with an extra-man situation or a flag-down creating an extra-man: Possession Award the ball (at the spot) to the team that had possession (or is entitled to possession – i.e. play-on) Loose Ball Start the period with a faceoff If there’s a foul before or during a faceoff, award the ball on the offensive side of the field at the Center Faceoff X.

GLLOA 5 End of Period – FDSW, loose ball Player B3 is serving penalty time B1 has possession A1 commits a penalty; a flag is down Ball becomes loose and the period ends. RULING: Next period begins with a faceoff as both teams are down one man

GLLOA 6 End of Period – FDSW, loose ball Teams are even B1 has possession A4 commits a penalty; a flag is down Ball becomes loose as period ends. RULING: Team B retains possession to begin the next period

GLLOA 7 End of Period – Fouls between periods Teams are even. A1 has possession of the ball in his defensive half of the field. B1 commits a technical foul; a flag is down as the third period ends. The fourth period shall begin with A in possession of the ball and B1 serving a 30-second penalty. Between periods A2 commits: a)a technical foul or b)a personal foul. RULING: a)award the ball to Team B in its offensive half of the field at the Center Faceoff X. b)award the ball to Team B in its offensive half of the field at the Center Faceoff X. a)B1 and A2 in penalty box with first 30 seconds of penalty time treated as nonreleasable

GLLOA 8 End of Period – Technical Foul Teams are even. A2 has the ball. The ball becomes loose. B1 commits a technical foul; a play-on is called. Before the play-on has ended or the whistle is blown, the quarter ends. How should the next quarter begin? a)Face-off as usual since there is no flag down, or b)No face-off, award ball to A to start the next quarter
