5 + DON’T FORGET! -TELL OF SOMETHING BEING DONE: TO READ, WRITE, COUNT,SING, JUMP OR RUN -TELL HOW THINGS ARE DONE: SLOWLY, QUICKLY, BADLY, WELL

6 + LAST BUT NOT LEAST JOIN WORDS TOGETHER: MEN AND WOMEN CONJUCTION STANDS BEFORE A NOUN: IN OR THROUGH A DOOR PREPOSITION SHOWS SURPRISE: OH, HOW PRETTY! AH! HOW WSIE! INTERJECTION

7 + -HAVE THE KIDS SPLIT UP INTO GROUPS OF THREE OF FOUR -EACH GROUP WITH HAVE A BOOK THEY MUST READ ALOUD WITHIN THEIR GROUP -GROUPS WILL HAVE A LIST OF THE EIGHT PARTS OF SPEECH -AFTER READING THE STORY THEY WILL BE ASKED TO GO BACK THROUGH AND FIND AS MANY EXAMPLES OF EACH PART OF SPEECH THEY CAN -THEY ARE TO WRITE THE EXAMPLE ON A POSTER BOARD
