Static Electricity can disturb data stored on computer disks Paper cutters should always be lowered and locked in place when not in use Chairs with rollers should not be misused At least 5 casters (or rollers) should be on each chair Filing cabinet drawers should always be closed when not in use Keep it from tipping over Keep people from tripping Keep from interfering with traffic flow

Electrical Safety All cords should be kept out of walkways All frayed electrical cords should be repaired or replaced immediately Hold the plug at the outlet when unplugging electrical equipment Do not overload electrical outlets.

Lifting Safety When lifting, use proper lifting techniques Stand close to the load Grip firmly Make sure you can see over the object Do not twist your body Bend your knees to lower the load When in doubt, ask for help!
