things we can count an apple singular: only one three apples plural : more than one

Countable & uncountable nouns
We use singular verbs or plural verbs with countable nouns. e.g. There is a chicken leg. There are three oranges.

We use a few and a little. We use a few with plural countable nouns. e.g. There are a few apples. = not many apples There are a few fruit tarts. = not many fruit tarts

We use plenty of and a lot of. We use plenty of with both uncountable and plural countable nouns. e.g. There is plenty of rice. There are plenty of chicken wings.

Too much, too many Both of these mean more than enough.
We use too much with uncountable nouns and too many with plural countable nouns. e.g. too much water too many chicken wings
