3 Development of internet Over the past 10 years the internet has become increasingly popular among ICT users. There are two types of internet, broadband and dial-up. The introduction of broadband has allowed connections to become faster allowing people to communicate quicker and with more efficiency. 6 Summary When first introduced computers and communication systems were a luxury, only available to those with high incomes and high placed jobs. Whereas nowadays items are cheap with 21 st century technologies widely available. This is good news for everyone as some of the less well off people can afford to enjoy the benefits of ICT and communication!
