HAZADR Strengthening common reaction capacity to fight sea pollution of oil, toxic and hazardous substances in Adriatic Sea The oceanographic model to assess oil spill dynamic: the red-line merging various HAZADR objectives The oceanographic model to assess oil spill dynamic: the red-line merging various HAZADR objectives

Marche Region monitoring/warning system for the shoreline defence from the oil spills Marche Region monitoring/warning system for the shoreline defence from the oil spills It is composed of an integrated system of different sensors aimed at monitoring the sea in the support of the warning system
3
Marche Region monitoring/warning system including AIS (Automatic Identification System) Automatic access to a data base “The Lloyd’s Register of Ships online” A software for risk assessment of the ships (link - ID data base) A Radar A mobile radar “oil spills detector” A set of telescopes and cameras located in strategic points in Ancona gulf ( park area, harbor etc) (linked radar – telescope) Mobile devices for detecting images along the costs and the sea An oceanographic model for predicting: marine current movement, oil spills movement, movements of missing object Point out risk scenarious (stormy sea, high concentration of dangerous ships)

Our proposal useful to implement the project in WP 3 Our proposal useful to implement the project in WP 3 Improve the AIS capacity to catch signals from ships, adding antennas along the coast; Improve the scale of 3D oceanographic model from the present 2 km → 1 km and in areas of particular interest we can push the horizontal resolution to 0,5 – 0,25 Km; Define common criteria for the evaluation of the ships hazard (shared criteria); Improve the interaction between different sensors installed, to obtain outcome useful to define risk scenarious (integration of data from buoys, from radar oil spills detector, from telescope etc. with model outputs) WP 3.3.
