Urban: Most of the population lives in cities Farming: Farming is done commercially, not for immediate survival Jobs: Things like businesses and services Families: Smaller families because the children don’t need to work, lives with immediate family Education: All people attend school Industrialization: Has industry, factories, and has a high level of technology

Work: parents work outside the home Needs: all needs are met, especially survival Foods: Food is purchased, not grown Choices: People have lots of choices for their own lives and future Hope: People hope for more and bigger stuff

In-Between: Some small cities and small farming Farming: Some farming is done for money, but much is done for survival Jobs: There is less farming done and more business and service jobs starting to form Transportation: Bikes and motor bikes, but they are hoping for a car Education: Some people attend school Industrialization: A few industries and factories exist as well as some technology

Work: Work outside the home sometimes Needs: Some needs are met, and they are now working on getting both needs and wants Electricity/Water: They now have this luxury as well as running water Choices: Some choices for their lives and future Hopes: Wish to meet their survival needs and have only wants

Rural: People live in the countryside, no cities Farming: Farm to feed themselves and survive Jobs: Both parents work at home on the farm Transportation: Animal, foot, sometimes a bike Education: Little to no education Industrialization: Basically just farms, no store bought items

Families/ Work: People live with their extended families so there is more help with work; larger families since more children are needed to help with work Needs: People work to meet their survival needs Technology: No technology; handmade tools and clothes Choices: people have very little choices for their lives and future Hopes: They want food, safety, and health care
