Captains’ Meeting February 2015 a) WIDES “Leg side wides” only to be awarded in matches in Divisions 1-3 1 st XIs with panel Umpire(s) standing. Other leg side wides to be determined by reference to the guideline in handbook. “Offside wides” to be determined by reference to the lines drawn 17” in from the return creases introduced in 2013. 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 b) WIN/LOSE MATCHES Divs. 1-4: 1 st and 2 nd XI’s - first 6 and last 5 matches will be Win/lose/draw games and “middle” 11 games will be win/lose. ie. win/lose are from 6 th June - 15 th August incl. Division 5, 6, 7: First 5 and last 4 will be win/lose/draw with “middle” nine as win/lose. ie. win/lose from 6 th June - 1 st August incl. 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 c) UNDER AGE PLAYERS Juniors, who are aged 11 and in County U12 age group squads may play. Any player under the age of 13 as at 1 st September in the preceding season will need to submit a form signed by himself, his parents or guardians and a representative of his club. (No change) Form available on the League website. 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 d) CONCEDED MATCHES If a 3 rd XI of a club with a 1st XI side in Division One has to concede a match for reasons other than bad weather, the 1 st XI will have five points deducted. 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 e) UMPIRES PAYMENTS and AFTER MATCH MEETINGS Pay Umpires (in cash) before the toss. 2 nd reported failure = 1 point penalty, 3 rd reported failure = 2 point penalty etc Both Captains must attend a brief post match meeting with Panel Umpires (if appointed) 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 f) PENALTIES f) PENALTIES Penalties for: Average over rate recorded at under 17 overs/hour, Not re-marking Creases where necessary in between innings, Home side not having a non-playing scorer, and Home side not paying Umpires prior to toss. One grace for each then 2 nd offence = 1 point penalty 3 rd offence = 2 point penalty etc 2. PLAYING CONDITIONS - What is changing?

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 a)Refinements i.Run rates calculated using actual balls received. ii.More decimal places of accuracy. iii.WL Run rate uplift used up to 20 th over of second innings. b)Updated Target Calculator i.Collaboration with BDPCL. ii.Deals with declaration matches. iii.PC/Laptop – MS Excel, Libre Office, WPS Office iv.Tablet/mobile – WPS Office is best. v.(Polaris, Google sheets, Numbers work but no cell protection ) 3. INTERRUPTED MATCHES – Calculating Targets

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 a)Teamsheets Must be completed and signed by both Captains prior to the match as well as both Umpires. After the match, the teamsheet is to be retained by Home club to assist with entering the result on “Play Cricket” DO NOT send to the Administrator. 5. CAPTAIN’S RESPONSIBILITIES

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 b) Result sheets Sheets will show overs available at the start of each innings. NEW section for each Captain to mark each Umpire. For 1 st XI matches summary results to be on “Play-Cricket” by 11pm on the evening of the match. The front page of the result sheet to be sent by e-mail (PDF) to the administrator within 48 hours of the end of the match. All scorecards must also be entered and confirmed on to “PlayCricket” within 72 hours of the end of the match. 5. CAPTAIN’S RESPONSIBILITIES

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 c) Matchday Checklist i) All players are registered via “Play-Cricket”. See handbook for further details. ii) Matchday Checklist Before: Boundaries, rollers, covering, meet and pay umpires. Toss:Teamsheets, young players, balls. During:Scoreboard, timings, pitch re-mark, discipline, adjusted targets. After:Complete, sign and send match reports. Tea money and Umpires fee from away captain. Meeting with Umpires. 5. CAPTAIN’S RESPONSIBILITIES

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 Clubs MUST de-register any players no longer available for selection. New players in Divisions 1-5 (1 st XI’s) must be registered at least 48 hours before the match. Clubs can only register and play one Category three player. No restriction on registration of Category 3 exempt players. BUT only one can play in any team. A Cat 3 and Cat 3(e) could both play in a team. An overseas student can be registered as a Cat 3(e) if he can prove he is on a proper course of study for at least three years. 6. CHANGES TO REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Captains’ Meeting February 2015 7) REMINDERS Confirmation of registered players for 2015 Weds 1 st April. Resources collection evening Weds 15 th April. Club declarations signed and sent in Fri. 24 th April. First matches Divisions 1 to 4 Sat. 25 th April. First KO Cup rounds completed by 8 th /15 th /22 nd May. Representative team player nominations by end of May.
