Activities Launch in September 2008 Anniversary Website Site to launch 1 September Tool kit Media Center (Video vignettes, photos, message board Calendar of Anniversary Events Fun, viral video contest (using YouTube) Presidents’ Competition information and entry form SECTIONS CONGRESS KICK OFF Goal: To promote global participation Encouraging Sections, Branches and Chapters to plan local celebrations and use the anniversary website 13 May 2009 “Official” anniversary day

IEEE Presidents’ ‘Change the World’ Competition Students Create Solutions to Real World Problems Individual IEEE Student Members or teams led by Student Members Entries accepted 1 Sept 08 to 28 Feb 09. Prizes funded through President’s discretionary fund Initial judging by SAC chairs; final selection by three P’s. Top Prize: US$10,000 Top three finalists to be invited to 2009 Honors Ceremony One People’s Choice prize; voting open to all

Be an IEEE Anniversary Ambassador Promote the 125 th : any event in 2009 is an anniversary event Mention the anniversary in conference openings, key sessions or award ceremonies, welcome letters, conference programs and websites Put your anniversary events on the calendar at ieee125.org Submit anniversary event photos on the website at ieee125.org Celebrate the IEEE What Can You Do to Help? Use the IEEE Anniversary Mark and acknowledge the anniversary during your conferences Let us know about new exciting technologies Promote Presidents’ ‘Change the World’ Competition to students www.ieee.org/ChangeTheWorld Celebrate the anniversary during your events.
