There are many benefits that come from writing by hand rather than using an electronic device. First of all, righting by hand can get ideas out faster. Researchers discovered that students wrote faster by hand then than by keyboard. They also generated more ideas when composing essays in longhand. Secondly, studies showed that writing by hand increases neural activitys. They had 2 groups right by hand and the other by keyboard. Reasearchers found that the neural activity in the first group was was far more advanced and adult like. Finally, several studies showed that good handwriting makes you seem smarter. Professor Steve Graham discovered that the same mediocre essay will score much higher if written with good penmanship and much lower if written out in poor handwriting. These were the three benefits that came from writing by hand rather then using an electronic device. Fabulous Example #1

There are many benefits that come from writing from hand. One benefit that longhand writing has is it is better for your eyes. When you are looking at a screen, any kind of screen. An IPad, IPhone, T.V, anything, those waves projecting the light off the device kills your eye sight, which will make you go blind faster.Another benefit from longhand writing is your ideas on your brain will generate faster and will have a better quality. This is because when you are typing study shows your ideas aren't flowing than when you are writing. So when you write your brain is working harder. A third benefit that writing has is that when it comes to a big test like the SAT's, if your hand writing isn't legible, you will get zero points. If you are typing you aren't practicing your handwriting for a big test and when it comes to that test, your score would be a zero because you forgot to writ and spell because of typing and f course spell check. Benifits that come from writing by hand. One benifit is that writing by hand can get ideas out faster. Psychologist Virginia Berninger tested grades 2, 4, & 6, & found out that they wrote faster than on keyboard. They also had more ideas when writing with their hand. Another reason is because good hand writing makes you seem smart. Yes, it's true. People do judge others on their handwriting. Several studies show that your essay score will be much higher if you write with good penmanship. If your handwriting is poor, then it's very likely that your SAT professor will judge you on your handwriting. An essay deemed illegible gets a big zero. Last but not least handwriting makes kids smarter because technology has auto correct. For example say your child is in the 3rd grade & doesn't know how to spell the word " important ". Instead of learning the word, your child has auto correct on their mobile device ( such as a cell phone) & the phone spells " important " automatically. Never giving your child a chance to learn the word. If everyone wrote in longhand then studies show that children will be smarter. Fabulous Example #3
