Why this Program? Decrease drop out rates Promote positive male role models in the school Offer every child a positive connection to a father or father figure 89% of schools that have implemented feel it is a valuable component of their effort to promote a safe and positive learning environment; 79% of have seen an increase in father involvement beyond the Watch DOGS program; and 52% have seen a decrease in behavioral problems

Watch DOG Responsibilities Spend a whole day: Patrolling the campus Assisting in unloading and loading cars Reading and working on flash cards with students Being a referee at recess Eating lunch side by side with the students Sharing about your career and other activities

Timeline August: TOP DOG team meets to plan year as well as back to school event Information table at the back to school event September: Pizza orientation for all interested members and members returning from last year Begin having Watch D.O.G.S. in the building and in classrooms October – December: Watch D.O.G.S. in the building on a regular basis Hold a “Wear Your Favorite Hat Day” event (to raise funds)
