BHC Guiding Principles 1.To have FUN! 2.To provide and promote supervised hockey for all young people, and to instill in them the principles of sportsmanship, character, and respect. 3.To promote community-wide support and interest in hockey as a recreational and spectator sport.

TRAINING CENTER The BHC Training Center is a dryland training facility straight across the parking lot from the rink. There are regularly scheduled times all year round for every age group within the club to utilize the center as part of membership in the BHC! Brandon Steege is our Training Center Coordinator, and runs these events. He will ensure that your skater is learning new skills while having a blast at the same time! The teams will be utilizing the TC throughout the season through scheduled team practices as well!

Season Schedule Our mite teams will play every weekend through the first week in March. Level 1 and 2 will play in house games only. Games and Practices are played at a ratio of 3:1 at the mite level. Intermediate, Advanced, and U8 will receive their game schedule after the D6 Ice Draw the first week in December. The majority of games for these levels will still be weekends only. Outdoor ice will be scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays as soon as weather allows.

Bloomington Jamboree Every year our mites (level 2+) participate in the Bloomington Mite Jamboree at the end of February. This is a huge mite event at the Bloomington Ice Garden. It is a fun based event and no scores are kept. There will be an additional cost for this event

Mite Fun Day Last day of the season Party! Crafts, hockey, family skate, games, and Pizza! This event is designed to be fun for the whole family!

Fundraising and Volunteer Hours RAFFLE Each skater will be responsible for selling raffle tickets for all levels. If a family has more than one skater in the program you can choose to sell Pizza’s. Third skaters are free from fundraising. Each family should complete 10 club hours and 5 team hours for each skater (up to two).

HEP Teseting Process General Rules Consist of 5 Timed Drills There should be no unnecessary contact or communication between parents and the on ice volunteers, athletes and coaches. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact the Mite Director.

HEP Testing- Mite All Skaters in grades 2 and 3 (1 for girls as well) will complete HEP Testing. It is a way for the club to see how our development is progressing from year to year. HEP Drills are conducted Saturday, and there will be a scrimmage on Sunday.

Teams, Coaches & Managers Teams ~ Mite 1, Mite 2, Intermediate and Advanced Mites Coaches ~ will be assigned after HEP Testing is completed. WE NEED MORE! At least 1 manager is needed for every team
