3. Who are the Actors Check your Value Chain Map. Who are the actors that bring the SMEs closer to the market…

4. Goal Words: CLMV, SMEs, cluster, consortia, stimulate, promote, encourage, facilitate, investments, etc. Syntax: To ________ (verb) the ______ of a C or C for ____ SMEs in _____ (sector) in _______ (place) within the next ____ to ______ exports from the CLMV.

5. Activities From 25 upwards (8 per day by 3 days) Not all activities are important! They are important if they need lots of time, require special resources and spend money! Syntax: ______ (verb) _____ noun Use strong verbs.

6. Assumptions Must be stated in Positive terms, e.g., – CLMV will continue enthusiastic export promotion measures Do NOT include: – My Bosses will support the initiative – No flooding will happen in the next 6 months – My colleagues will provide support

7. Evidence of Success! Look at your activities…. – Example: Implement a rice milling course Evidence…. – List of participants (with photos) – Certificates issued – After-training-report – Minutes of Meetings (MOMs) – Draft Registration Form

8. Beneficiaries Direct: Number of SMEs: ___ members and non-members of the C&C. Participants (government staff, NGOs, sponsors, etc.) Web users Indirect: women, youth, handicaps, seniors, investors, etc.

9. Evaluation Do you need an activity to evaluate your 6- month Action Plan? How will you do it? Evidence of Success: Case study, a Gallery, a story, a press release, a TV interview, a YouTube clip….etc. How about the participation in MI Investment Forum… Others (Registration, etc.)

10. TimeLine Use Excel Format – Columns: No. | Activities | Duration | Weeks (1,2,3,4, etc.) Rows: – Use Lines (NOT colours) to indicate Time – Use broken lines to indicate M&E, continuing activities, etc. – MI intervention, use Triangles (Red) – Do not forget the CODES MI will prepare an Integrated Action Plan for Guidance of all the participants and will be in the web for transparency.

11. Report Format A nice cover with Group photo, MI, NZ, title, CODE, prepared by: ______date. Summary (One Page) Part 1: The Context – The Sector (Brief description, max 3 pages, use photos, maps, stats, why was this sector selected, what are the prospects in CLMV, trends for exports, etc.) – The Value Chain Map (map and description of the Key Actors) – The Organization (or Company) Attach brochure if available Part 2: The Action Plan – Goal – Activities – Supports and Resources – Assumptions and Constraints – Budgets (Excel as JPG) – Timetable (Excel as JPG) – Success Indicators Annexes

12. And do not forget…. Powerpoint presentation…. – Minimum: 8 slides – Use bullets, photos, images, YouTube – Avoid too much text (Report handles this)
