2 Here is a report about The Castle in the Attic these are the characters:  William the boy (and main character)  Mrs. Phillips his nanny  William’s father and mother  Jason William’s best friend  Sir Simon the knight  Alastor the evil wizard

3 The Castle in the Attic is an amazing book I will give you a short summary of the beginning: William’s nanny is leaving because she is homesick and she wants to go back to her hometown but William does not want her to. As a going away gift Mrs. Phillips gives William an amazing model of a castle which is exactly like a real one she also gives him one little silver knight.....

4 William finally takes the silver knight out of the box and when he touches it. The knight feels warm almost real William drops the knight and it starts to move. Once it was standing up William said “Are you real?” “Why yes I am,” said the little knight. “What happened to you?” asked William. “ Come sit down and I will tell you the story” so the knight told him how when he was a kid his father was the king and so he needed a wizard because he was terribly sick. So he had heard about Alastor and how he could help people. So he called Alastor in. It worked, but Alastor put a spell on him that made his father not trust his son and it got so bad that eventually his father would not see him at all. His father died but before he closed his eyes he said “Alastor you are to rule the kingdom.”

5 So because Mrs. Phillips was still leaving Sir Simon told him that he had a token of Janus that could shrink things so he shrunk Mrs. Phillips so she couldn’t leave. But each time he visited her she refused to speak to him so unless he shrunk to he could never talk to her so he shrunk and saw a little poem so he asked Sir Simon about it and he said that in order for William and Mrs. Phillips to return to their normal size he and Sir Simon would have to go on a quest and retrieve the other token from Alastor’s neck. During their quest Sir Simon ran off and so William was on his own …………………
