Scaffolding Language Lesson Objectives: 1.To jointly construct a paragraph with students 2.To scaffold the language for formal writing 3.To develop elaboration skills for writing

Scaffolding Language Intended Outcomes: Students are able to develop content ideas into fully elaborated paragraphs using appropriate linguistic devices Students can differentiate between formal and informal language Students are able to apply that knowledge to produce a text of the appropriate genre (e.g. a two-sided argumentative essay)
