2 The Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District will once again host a free outdoor movie series this summer. Beginning June 10 th and for ten consecutive Thursday nights, favorite movies will be shown under the stars for DC residents and their families and friends. This year’s movie theme is “Ultimate Underdogs.” Movie fans are encouraged to come out early and bring their blankets and chairs for an enjoyable evening at the Capitol Riverfront. The pre- movie events start at 7:30 pm with interactive games, activities from sponsors, snacks, and music. The movies will begin at sundown each night. The movie series will be presented on the New Jersey Avenue SE plaza and lawn, behind the U.S. Department of Transportation, and one Block south of the Navy Yard Metro Station. The location is just steps from the Washington Nationals new ballpark!

3 The Capitol Riverfront is Washington, DC’s newest and most rapidly transforming business center, urban neighborhood, baseball and entertainment district, and waterfront destination. Development projects are redefining this area and creating a vibrant cityscape on the river. The Capitol Riverfront offers close proximity to the U.S. Capitol Building, access to three Metrorail lines and two major highways, a new Major League ballpark, four world-class parks, and a unique nautical heritage. Riverfront Reel Outdoor Movie Series is produced by ASG Events, who has been producing special events throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and around the country for the past 15 years. This is the third year of ASG Events producing this free outdoor movie series at the Capitol Riverfront.

4 2010 MOVIE SCHEDULE – HITS MOVIES WITH AN “ULTIMATE UNDERDOG” THEME Thurs, June 3 rd Thurs, July 8 th Thurs, June 10 th Thurs, July 15 th Thurs, June 17 th Thurs, July 22 nd Thurs, June 24 th Thurs, July 29 th Thurs, July 1 st Thurs, August 5 th This year’s movie them is “Ultimate Underdogs.” Movies are currently being voted on by local Riverfront residents and the 2010 movie line-up will be announced in April. Some of the “Ultimate Underdog” movies being considered include Cool Runnings, Forrest Gump, Miracle, Remember the Titans, Rudy, Seabiscuit, We Are Marshall, and more. This year’s Movie Series will feature giveaways, dress-up contests, karaoke, bike-in movie nights, food and drink specials, plus much, much more!
