Strengthening ERA foundations l To stimulate and support programme co-ordination and joint actions conducted at national or regional level l To help develop the common knowledge base necessary for the coherent development of policies

Strengthening ERA foundations l 2.1 Support for the co-ordination of activities ã Co-ordination of national activities in areas such as: àHealth: major diseases, diseases linked to poverty, development of European databases, co-ordination of clinical trials etc.

18 European Health Forum Gastein, Bad Hofgastein, Austria, September 2002 Results of 4th Framework Programmes, and on-going projects under the 5th Framework Programme will also be contributing to this process - an excellent example is the 4th FP project on clinical guidelines Our project co-ordinators are certainly ready to share their experiences and achievements this afternoon Past Experiences … the future
