What format will your show be (eg, Interviews, How To Tutorials, Discussions etc)? Are you creating an audio or video podcasts? Do some podcast show format ideas and inspiration research What will you call your show and why? How long will your shows go for? Will there be a music intro and/or end? Do you want to script your show, or be informal?

What is your END GOAL of your podcasting? Think about your “call to actions” for your podcast shows Think of ways to drive people to your blog from your podcast shows Encourage listeners to subscribe to your podcast Do you have old videos you could upload to your podcast show?

Have you thought about sponsors? Think about how you will promote your podcast when it is live Will you just list it on iTunes, or other directory sites as well (Podcast Alley, Blurbrry etc) Do you know any other bloggers who would promote your podcast show from their blog? Make sure you have plenty of analytics set up to gauge your podcasting ROI

1. Get your equipment right, and do a dry run with a friend first 2. Let the person you are interviewing do the talking 3. Be interested in who you are interviewing 4. Learn how to interview all types of personalities 5. Be your audience when asking questions 6. Focus on tangibles whenever possible 7. Watch the clock (45-60min is good) but you can end shorter Practice makes perfect

Think of a tagline that defines it more. Check if the domain URL is available to buy because you could buy it.

There is no right or wrong Look at what others do in similar podcasts and decide if you can improve on that format length Experiment, be flexible Think like your audience The longer your shows are, the more cost to host the media file

Consider: - Part one and Part two - Publish Part one on iTunes, and give away Part two on your blog (for traffic) - Do a ten part show series - See if other podcasters are willing to be part of your podcast show program

Something you want to achieve from your podcasting efforts (and maybe your blogging) Always provide interest in your END GOAL Your END GOAL does not have to be money, but it should be something that can lead to an income stream later
