3 As an Engineer… What do we do? -- Research, Teaching, and Practice What is the nature of our work? -- Analysis & Design (> 80%)

4 What is the Gender of Computers? “Male Group” decides Computer is “female” because: -- No one but their creator understands their internal logics, -- The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else, -- Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval, -- As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

5 What is the Gender of Computers? “Female Group” decides Computer is “male” because: -- In order to do anything with them you have to turn them on, -- They have a lot of data but still can’t think for themselves, -- They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half of the time they ARE the problem, -- As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model. The women won.

12 The Best Teacher Ever? The God-- as a teacher  He has taught for K’s/M’s of years  He has had millions of students all over the world  Except a few, most students were loyal to Him  He reaches out to students of all geographic locations, all genders, all races, all ages, and rich and poor

13 WHY GOD NEVER REC’VED TENURE AT ANY UNIVERSITY? oHe had only one major publication oIt was in Hebrew oIt had no reference oIt wasn’t not published in a refereed journal oSome doubt he wrote it Himself oHe may have created the world, but what has He done since? oThe scientific community can’t replicate His results
