1. Title – the subject 2. Introduction – the aim/purpose Who asked for the report What is to be investigated When it should be submitted by (3). Procedure (if necessary) method or steps taken to make an investigation, listing sources consulted, telephone calls or visits made 3. Findings facts, areas under consideration, headings, subheadings, bullets, numbers 4. Conclusions summary of the main findings 6. Recommendations (if required) – suggesting the solutions to the problem investigated ( Companies use different formats and do not completely follow the structure presented above).

Reports are impersonal – you should only give personal opnions in the conclusion Access to information - should be quick and easy (headings, sub-headings numbers, bullets) Clear structure - introduction/procedure, findings, conclusions/recommendations
