4 Program Collaboration and Transfer 4 What is DARS?  Degree Audit Reporting System  Computerized report that tells students and advisors what a student has taken to meet degree/major requirements AND what they have left AND what they can choose from to satisfy graduation requirements.  Includes Transfer Credits.

8 8 What is CAS?  Course Applicability System  Web based “shopping” of transfer credits  Reads the Transfer rules written in campus DARS.  Student finds out IF their courses transfer and HOW they apply to a major/program before they register/attend.

15 Program Collaboration and Transfer 15 Navigating CAS Your Courses Student maintains a list of their courses and grades.

16 Program Collaboration and Transfer 16 Applicability of Transfer Credits – Student enters Portfolio of Courses which is stored in their CAS account

17 Program Collaboration and Transfer 17 Navigating CAS Planning Guides View planning guides and request new planning guides

18 Program Collaboration and Transfer 18 Student finds out how the courses will apply to a program by running a PLANNING GUIDE for their chosen transfer school for their chosen major.

20 Program Collaboration and Transfer 20 Students may also ‘cross reference’ an institution when running a Planning Guide Scenario: Anoka-Ramsey student goes home to Mankato for the summer and wants to know what courses he can take at MSU, Mankato and transfer back to Anoka-Ramsey in the fall. The Cross Reference Planning Guide shows equivalent courses in brackets { }. The MSUM equivalent courses appear in GREEN font.
