What is global warming? The changes in the surface air temperature, referred to as the global temperature, brought about by the enhanced greenhouse effect, which is induced by emissions of greenhouse gases into the air.
3
How Global Warming Works Fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) Carbon Dioxide (CO 2 )
4
GLOBAL WARMING is the increase of the Earths average surface temperature due to a build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
5
The Suns energy passes through the cars windshield. This energy (heat) is trapped inside the car and cannot pass back through the windshield, causing the inside of the car to warm up. Example of the Greenhouse Effect
6
Effects of Global Warming Increased Temperature Habitat Damage and Species Affected Changes in Water Supply Rising Sea Level
7
Whats the proof that global warming is taking place?
8
Portage Glacier 1914 2004 Alaska
9
Colorado River Arizona June 2002Dec 2003
10
Why is global warming happening?
11
Burning of Fossil Fuels Pollution from coal, natural gas, and oil

Global Warming: Shifting Gears
13
Effects of Global Warming in Europe Europe is suffering from disturbed climate change due to Global Warming. Heavy snow- fall is taking place repeatedly in all regions of Europe.
14
Effects of Global Warming in South-East Asia South-east Asian countiries (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Burma) is also suffering from Global Warming. Heavy Rains, Storms Unusual climate change is taking place.
