1 PA Core Instructional Frameworks Accessing the Instructional Frameworks

2 PA Core Standards Instructional Frameworks  Available for all grade levels, PK – 12  English/Language Arts  Mathematics  Each grade level contains multiple modules  Each Module encompasses approximately 6-8 weeks of instructional time

3  Login to the SAS Portal  Click on Teacher Tools  Select Curriculum Mapping  Select one of the PA Core Standards Instructional Frameworks tabs  Contact the SAS Help Desk for administrative rights  helpdesk@pdesas.org helpdesk@pdesas.org  1-877-973-3727 Accessing the Instructional Frameworks

4 Purpose  Educators have 4 reasons to use the curriculum frameworks:  Save and use them as is…  Edit or revise a framework as needed…  Use it as a reference to audit existing curriculum…  Download a blank template and create an entirely new framework

5 Ways to Access  Three Icons  Copy to My District  Add to My CM  View

6 View  Teachers and/or Team may wish to view  When viewing you will see three icons  Print a copy  Export to Excel for editing purposes  Add to E-Portfolio

7 Saving 1. Locate a module on one of the PA Core Standards Instructional Frameworks tabs, and open it 2. Click on Add to ePortfolio, add an optional description and then click Save 3. The module will be saved to the My ePortfolio tab 4. Access your newly saved module by going to your Teacher Tools and opening your e-Portfolio

8 Add to My CM  Teachers wanting to only look at frameworks relevant to their course/grade/subject  Three icons  Create a New Instructional Map  Delete the map  View  This feature does not allow editing

9 Saving to My CM 1. Locate a module on one of the PA Core Standards Instructional Frameworks tabs 2. In the Options column, click on Add to My CM 3. The module will be saved to My CM 4. Click OK 5. You will be directed to your new module in your maps

10 Copy to My District  Anyone wishing to edit an existing Module  Three options  Save  Close  Edit Curriculum Maps

11 Editing your Modules  Click – Edit Curriculum Map Data  Matrix cell editor will open  Make changes to the map  Copy and Paste  Add items to the map from your e-Portfolio  See the SAS Instructional Framework Guide for Pictorial Guide
