2. Who is Albert Camus? Was born in Mondovi, Algeria in 1913
His family was in extreme poverty and his mother was nearly deaf

In 1923, he passed his lycee entrance exams, which led him to get accepted into the school of philosophy at the University of Algiers

3. Who is Albert Camus
Camus obtained his Baccalaureate Degree in June In 1933, Camus enrolled in the University of Algiers to get his diploma (d’etudas superieures) which specializes in philosophy. He became an author and journalist

4. Spiritual history & Point of View
Albert Camus was a Christian moralist. A Christian moralist is someone who is subjected to new law, law of righteousness. The core of his thinking is the denial in God In other words, He believed in the basics of Christianity but believed that there was a lot of hypocrisy. Camus believed that man overreaches himself, pretends to one sort divinity or another, but concludes by justifying the violation of man.

Camus also believed that every human contradicts himself and does so at a terrible expense to the solitary of the race. Believes in honesty, conscience, and the dignity of work

6. Existential Point of View
Definition of Existential: Philosophers who consider the nature of the human condition as a key philosophical problem and who share the view that this problem is best addressed through anthology. Camus once said “I am not a philosopher, because I don’t believe in reason enough to believe in a system. What interests me is knowing how we must behave, and more precisely, how to behave when one does not believe in God or reason.

7. Ethical Point of View
Camus wrote “Life may be meaningless for the individual but mankind and its societies are larger than one person.” Albert Camus believed that it is impossible to make rational sense of ones experience, and human life is made meaningless by mortality. He wrote “ This heart within me I can feel, and I judge that it exists. This world I can touch , and I likewise judge that it exists. There ends all my knowledge, and the res is construction. Camus says he is not an existentialist however he thought to be a closet

Camus likes and believes in nature and moderation, not violence or historicism Likes and believes in human rights

Camus was influenced by Schopenhauer and that led to his atheism and deficient pessimism Some other influences were, Descartes, Spinoza, Bergson, Stendnal, Melville, Dostoyevsky, and Kafka
