3. SLC 5/05 Communications Overview
Setup personal computer IP address and subnet mask.
In your RSLogix 500 project, set up Ethernet channel configuration.
Download using a different driver such as serial if Ethernet IP is different from processor channel configuration.
Use Ethernet driver for future up/downloads or on-line editing.

4. Create New Project Enter project name. Select your Processor.
Select processor station number.
Select Ethernet driver you configured.

5. Configure Ethernet Channel
Double-click here.

6. Select Channel 1 System Tab
Click once here to
go to Ethernet
channel configuration.

7. Enter IP Address from RSLinx
RSLogix 500
channel configuration
RSLinx driver configuration

8. Use Serial Communications to Download New Configuration
New IP address will
replace current IP.

9. Go To RSWho and Verify Ethernet Communications
You should see your
SLC PLC here
Double-click on
the Ethernet driver.

10. RSWho Displaying Unrecognized Device

11. Download Project
First click on Comms.
Second, click on
System Comms.

12. Select Ethernet Driver and Processor
Left click once
to select
Ethernet driver
Click here
to download.
