A basic understanding of the operating system which you are working with is necessary to ensure a smooth installation. This overview will discuss installations on both Windows 95 and NT workstation 4.0 operating systems

16. 1999 Cabletron Systems Wireless Networking RoamAbout Enabling the PC Card Controller From the Control Panel –Double-click on the PC card to open the PC card Properties window –Note: here that the card is recognized; however, there are no drivers loaded yet so the card itself is disabled.

From Administrative Tools click NT Diagnostics –Note that the factory settings for the RoamAbout NIC are I/O port 03040-037F IRQ 10 –These may require changing if there is a conflict Note that here in fact there would be a conflict with the IRQ of 10.

Which is discussed later in this presentation. Take note of the new value that you will use if you are going to change the defaults
