1. Please Note that prior to using XLS upload for content creation; if the content types contains file/image fields, then you need to place these files in desired directories and locations under the sites/default/files path. The corresponding values will be inserted into database through the specifically formatted Excel file. XLS Upload Functionality to create Content, Content Types & Fields.

2. PHASE-I (Creation of Content) Enable XLS Read Module and visit the XLS upload section as shown below

3. Select radio button corresponding to “Content” and the desired “Content Type” as marked below.

4. Upload the specifically formatted excel file containing content details through the “Upload Your File” section marked below.

5. A page as shown below will appear

6. Here, you need to map the Content “Headers” with respective “Fields” of the selected content type i.e. “Body” header must be mapped with “body” field, “Title” header with “title” field, etc. This is a multi-select type box where you can drag and position values as per requirement.. The correctly mapped header-field combination is shown in the next slide.

7. Once the mapping is done, then select all values and click on the “Upload Content” button as shown below.

8. The contents will be created and you’ll be redirected to the XLS upload section which will display a confirmation message as marked & shown below.

10. Clicking on any of the home page boxes will take you to an inner page. All the texts, images, etc. that are marked in the page shown below have been created using XLS upload functionality for this site.

11. PHASE-II (Creation of Content Types and Fields) We are currently working on creation of content types and fields too through XLS upload after which it’ll become a complete Content Management package.
