There are 71 days to your first examination. Aim to finish your revision by May 18 th. This will allow you two and a half weeks to sit past examination papers. That leaves you 53 days of revision. Use this information to plan YOUR revision. IF you start now that’s approximately two chapters a night.

Be organised – know what your target is for that session. Remove distractions – phone/TV/console. Read and learn the chosen chapters Visit websites such as BBC bitesize/Doc Brown Summarise from memory the important points on a Flash Card

When you have learnt and memorised the chapter, answer questions from a workbook and check your answers. Learn the answers you get wrong.

Is the other half of exam preparation. If used correctly, sitting past examination papers will secure a good grade. Mark your own exam paper. Study the mark scheme and all the possible answers which are awarded a mark and answers which are not accepted. LEARN how to answer a question. In difficulty, ask teachers for help.

More work = Less stress. Yr11 - 8 GCSE examinations. Keep on top of your schoolwork. Revise effectively for end of unit tests and Mock examinations. Revise AGAIN for your GCSE examinations.
