Total of ~350,000 cy of material to be removed. Three major fish and habitat restoration projects Three offloading/dewatering sites. Approximately 200 trucks per day on Indiana Ave. Approx. 100 trucks per day on Penn Ave and S. 14 th Street. 24 hours a day 7 days a week dredging operations. Bright Lights, Dust, Noise, etc. will occur.

8 th Street and 14 th Street Boat Launches closed. Discouraging of canoers/kayakers from mouth of river to Taylor Drive Bridge. Docks will be relocated during construction. Traffic Impacts along truck routes. Portions of Kiwanis Park closed.

Redevelopment Opportunities of underutilized property. ◦ Allows for reinvestment of the riverfront with up to 10 feet of depth for development docking from 8 th Street to 14 th Street Bridge. ◦ Case Study by Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant in 2011: Findings 1.Sheboygan River was viewed as an asset but has a negative stigma. 2.Depth was a primary concern of the interviewees. 3.Remediation will result in economic revitalization. 4.Quality of Life and Aesthetics viewed as potential improvements of remediation.

Help with increasing the local economic benefit of $8.7m that is spent on recreational activities related to the waterfront. New development potential in 2013 of approximately $3.5 Million adjacent to the riverfront. Slated to begin end of May, early June and be completed by Fall 2012. Changes the perception of “its got the perception of being dirty, I wouldn’t go swimming in it as you might glow!”, stated a local resident.
