4 High-Tech as a policy addressed by the SAR government, is now a must in the H.K. secondary school. But, what is High-Tech? But, why???????? High-Tech vs Creativity

5 What is High-Tech? Is High-Tech equal to computing technology? Why should we introduce High-Tech in Design domain? Is High-Tech equal to creativity? High-Tech vs Creativity

10 High-Tech may be a very useful mean helping us to execute our ideas and making everything more effective – but to me, it is the most unbreakable obstacle. High-Tech vs Creativity

11 We teachers have to be very careful when introducing computing knowledge in domains related to Creativity. What creativity needs is a knowledgeable self and a thoughtful mind set, NOT the CPU, internet, CADCAM ….. High-Tech vs Creativity

13 On school policy What is policy? What is school policy? Who make it? For whom? Why? Can it be alter?

14 On school policy Remember, policy is made by mankind. It can be altered only if you tried your best!!!!

15 On school policy Formation of policy: 1. Mission and vision 2. Culture of the organization 3. Social recognition 4. Execution and Administration

16 On school policy Party concerns in school policy: 1. Education Department 2. The school management 3. Teachers 4. Parents 5. Students

17 On school policy School Base Management means principal (or authorized body) management. As an educator, you have to stand up and fight for any “wrong” move!

18 On school policy School Based Syllabus means the mind set of your panel head. Read his/her mind thoroughly and challenge the logic with regard to your knowledge.

19 On school policy Scheme of work and lesson plan is your creative premises. Try to design new content and challenging material for you and your student. Repeating means suffocation.

20 On school policy The school policy is a concrete barrier for creativity. Good teachers can create new material within limitation. Limited space, unlimited creativity.

21 Arouse Creativity in school Role of a teacher: 1. They know nothing when students are designing, and they know everything when students are in “troubles”.

36 Summary and Ending There are some disciplines related to creativity have not been mentioned in this workshop such as Consumption, Marketing, Design management, Culture etc., which needed to further study if you wanted to know thoroughly in Design and creativity domain.
