2 Our Aim To provide a culturally appropriate service to effectively reduce gambling related harms in the Pacific community

3 A Name... Mapu Maia – a Samoan saying. A call out from one to another to come in and take shelter, restore health, to rest awhile under the shade. Naming process included consultation with Pacific community groups and leaders including the Matua Council of Waitemata DHB

4 Mapu Maia Logo The green petals pointing upwards represents new growth, life and hope The frangipani represents our Pacific motifs and heritage The grey petals represents the shade and the coming under its coolness and safety The Pacific patterns on the leaves represents the different Pacific island groups
