HUBRIS Exaggerated pride or self- confidence, presumption and or arrogance. Hubris consists in doing or saying things that cause shame to the victim merely for your own gratification.

In the movie “A Knights Tale” when Count Adhemar of Anjou makes fun of Sir William Thatcher because of his old armor. ( laughter) “ Look at that girls clothes, they are so yesterday.” (laughter)
